Founded in 2016 as a grassroots community initiative inside the Dzaleka Refugee Camp in Malawi, Art for Hope was born from a fierce belief that displacement does not define human potential. In August 2025, we officially transitioned into a registered non-profit organization, expanding our capacity to serve a growing population with structural permanence and strategic vision.

Operating in an environment where thousands face systemic hurdles and resource constraints, we realized early on that survival is not enough; people need dignity, agency, and holistic tools to thrive. We transcend traditional aid by integrating mental health support, trauma-informed care, alternative education, and sports infrastructure under one roof.

Today, Art for Hope is scaling comprehensive pathways from childhood learning and specialized vocational training to community health initiatives and athletic leadership. We are building a resilient ecosystem where individuals do not just heal from the past but they actively shape a self-reliant future
