Sports and
Recreation
We use the transformative power of sports to heal trauma, break barriers, and empower the Dzaleka community.
Transforming Pain into Purpose Through Movement
At Art for Hope, we believe sport is far more than recreation—it is a vital pillar of mental health, physical rehabilitation, and community integration. In an environment where over 90% of individuals cope with the invisible scars of conflict and displacement, our sports programs provide a safe, joyful sanctuary.
What began as a small initiative for aspiring athletes has grown into a multilayered movement serving everyone: from professional hopefuls to first-time runners, from children to elders, and from able-bodied participants to those living with disabilities.
Our Philosophy: We provide the tools, coaching, and support—our athletes bring the passion. Every step taken together is a step toward healing.

How You Can Help?
Our athletes have the passion. They just need the tools.
Operating a sports program inside a refugee camp comes with immense resource challenges. Many of our most talented runners train without proper running shoes, sports gear, or adequate nutrition. Your support changes that.
Sponsor Running Shoes ($10): Provide a pair of high-quality running shoes for a dedicated athlete.
Sponsor Race Logistics ($100): Cover transport, registration fees, and tournament kits for our runners to compete in national races.
Sponsor a Community Event ($500): Help fund hydration, first-aid kits, and healthy snacks for our weekly community village runs.
